Exploring Eclipses

On April 8 there will be a solar eclipse visible from Jackson! Ever wonder why eclipses happen, how we can predict them, or even why eclipses don’t happen every month?

Join us at the Meijer Branch to learn about eclipses with presentations designed for kids and adults and pick up a pair of eclipse glasses will be available so you will be able to safely view the upcoming eclipse.

Sessions:

March 25, 12 PM: Kids Ages 6+

April 1, 6 PM: Adults

Spring Break: Full STEAM Ahead

It’s full STEAM ahead for discovery this Spring Break! 

Explore Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math to get stamps on your passport and work toward your goal of discovering all 13 fields represented at JDL.

Visit 3 locations to earn a prize, visit 7 locations to earn a second prize and visit 10 locations to earn a third prize and be entered into a grand prize drawing!

You can also complete a trivia sheet at any branch for a grand prize entry; no travel required.

Activities are available until 30 minutes before each library closes during the week of Spring Break: March 22-30.
