Stop by the Carnegie Library McIntyre Room to make fabric chew toys for your dogs or to donate to animal shelters!
Materials will be provided and staff will demonstrate how to assemble the toys.

Rescue Read Along
Join us to read to some of the dogs at the Jackson County Animal Shelter!
Space is limited and registration is required. Children are welcome to participate, however they need an adult to accompany them.

Rescue Read Along is an opportunity for patrons to read to rescue pets at Cascades Humane Society. JDL will film the Read Along as well as a bit about the featured shelter pet(s) to be shared on our social media platforms.
This event will take place on December 20 from 10 AM – 1 PM. Readers can sign up for 30 minute time slots here. Children are welcome to participate, however they need an adult to accompany them.

Happy Tails
Stop by any JDL branch beginning July 28 and pick up a craft kit for making your own tug toy for dogs! An instructional video will be available on JDL’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
If your pup already has enough toys, we encourage you to donate the tug toy you create to the Cascades Humane Society or Jackson County Animal Shelter.
Pets Caught Reading Photo Contest
Enter a photo of your furry, feathered and/or scaly friends reading your favorite book for the chance to win a gift card to one of three local pet stores! Photos may be submitted June 7-11 (Pets Appreciation Week!) to marketing@myjdl.com along with your name and your pet’s name.
