Storyfest Showcase

Celebrate the 35th Annual Storyfest with an evening of storytelling featuring Jenifer Strauss and Adam Mellema at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra’s Weatherwax Hall on November 4 at 7 PM.

This event is free and open to the public.

About the Storytellers:

Adam Mellema dances, sings, and uses an exuberant style all his own to play every character in his stories – every man, woman, and paperweight.

Jenifer Strauss is dynamic and thought-provoking, engaging and educational, heart-warming and humorous. She offers a unique brand of energy-injected and interactive live performances.

If You Can Tell It, You Can Write It: Personal Narrative and the Storytelling to Story Writing Connection

Jenifer Strauss is a Storyteller, Narrative Coach and former Middle School teacher. Years ago, when a group of defiant sixth graders dared Jen to turn them into writers, she first asked them to become storytellers! Her Turning Points Personal Narrative Writing Process began with that group of students. In this workshop for upper elementary, middle school and high school teachers, Jen will introduce you to the brain science, the stories and the PROCESS that will inspire students to write personal narrative and memoir.

This workshop will take place as a live Zoom presentation and will not be available for later viewing. To join, click here.
