Tax Help at Carnegie

Come down to the Carnegie Branch of the Jackson District Library to have Larry Socie, veteran of VITA, help prepare your taxes for FREE! Please email adultservices@myjdl.com, or call 788-4087 and ask for the Reference Desk if you have questions.

Don’t pay to file your taxes.

If your household earned less than $66,000 in 2017 you can file both your federal and state returns for free.

Free doesn’t always mean free.

Some “free” tax preparation products only cover federal (not state), or charge extra for anything beyond the most basic forms.

Let the experts handle the details.

This program will run from Tuesday, February 4th until Monday, April 15th (tax deadline day). Additional dates & times may be added in March and April, so stay tuned.

*** Volunteer Opportunity: If interested in volunteering to be a tax instructor, please contact the Adult Services Department. ***
