Let’s take a road trip across the great Mitten State to wrap up Summer Discover 2023!
Pick up a passport at any JDL location from July 21-31 and start making your way around the district to explore all 13 Michigan destinations represented at the branches.
Visit 3 locations to earn a frisbee, visit 7 locations to earn a pair of sunglasses and visit 10 locations to earn a drawstring bag.
Activities will be available until 30 minutes before each location closes during the week of the Wrap-Up Tour.
Join the Parma Branch for a fun filled day! Activities include: A dunk tank, outdoor chalk art, scavenger hunt, indoor obstacle course, food from GG’s Cafe and a Kubb tournament!
Please call the Parma Branch at 517-531-4908 to register for the Kubb tournament. Kubb is a mix of horse shoes and bowling. Families are welcome to participate!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for Chalk Art and Ice Cream! Join us at the Eastern Branch to decorate our sidewalks with chalk art, watch an artist do a chalk art demonstration, and afterwards, cool off from the summer heat with DIY Ice Cream in a bag.
Celebrate the end of summer reading at the Brooklyn Branch with ice cream and sidewalk chalk! Stop by to enjoy a frozen treat and get creative with chalk.
Parent and child work together at the Eastern Branch to create homemade rhythm instruments, then get to use those instruments in a mini parade all around the library.
Join us at the Napoleon Branch for a showing of Finding Dory!
Join us for a showing of the movie Prancer at the Spring Arbor Branch on December 11 at 11 AM! Snacks will be provided.
Prancer (1989) is rated G.
It’s never too early to start exploring and learning with your child! JDL storytimes offer age appropriate books, music, and activities for babies, toddlers, families, and young children.
Most importantly, they help develop everyone’s imaginations!
Storytime at the Brooklyn Branch will run weekly on Thursdays from January 13 to February 24.
