Around the World in 9 Days

Travel the world and experience the culture of people and places around the globe during Spring Break, March 26-April 3! Start at your local branch to pick up a passport and begin your quest to visit all 13 branches while navigating the customs and traditions of the 13 countries represented.

Visit 3 countries to earn a prize, visit 7 countries to earn a second prize and visit 10 countries to be entered into a grand prize drawing for a stuffed animal and book. You can also stop by any branch to fill out a trivia sheet for a grand prize entry, no world travel required.

Polar Express Showing at Concord Library

Join us at the Concord Library for a showing of The Polar Express! Wear your favorite holiday PJs, drink hot chocolate and have fun with themed crafts and activities.

This event will take place on December 4 with showings at 10 AM and noon.

September 11, 2001: The Day that Changed the World

This exhibit features educational and multimedia displays to help all ages learn about the events of September 11, 2001, through the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks.

Lesson plans and take-home activities are available. Contact the Concord Branch to request additional materials at Concord@myjdl.com.

This exhibit will be on display at the Concord Auditorium September 1-17 during open hours.

 

DIY Kaleidoscope

Explore light, color and reflection when you make your own kaleidoscope – don’t worry, we’ll provide the materials too! Stop by your local JDL branch to pick up your kaleidoscope making kit and we’ll put an instructional video on our Facebook page and YouTube channel to show you how it’s made!

StoryWalk® at Brooklyn: A Parade of Elephants

Take a walk in your neighborhood while enjoying a story! This year, our featured story is “A Parade of Elephants” by Kevin Henkes.

This program is perfect for families to drop by at their leisure and follow the story signs that will be present at all locations. Call your branch for more information.
