Interested in getting started with genealogy? Need help getting past a research roadblock? Join us at the Springport Branch on July 15 at 10:30 AM for help finding the answers you need. Computers will be available, however patrons are welcome to bring their own laptops to connect to library wifi.

Are you looking to research your family but don’t know where to start? Join us at the Carnegie Library for a Beginners Genealogy Workshop presented by Marge Herman from the Jackson County Genealogical Society.

You’ll have the chance to learn about genealogy databases available at JDL and resources available at the Jackson County Genealogical Society.

 

Jackson County Genealogical Society Meeting

The JCGS (Jackson County Genealogical Society) will hold their meetings at the Meijer Branch Library. Various speakers on different genealogical subjects throughout the year.

Social hour at 6 p.m. and speakers at 6:30 p.m.

  • October 2 – Karen Krugman speaking on Stumble
  • November 6 – Shirley Hodges speaking on Michigan to Ontario migration
