Adult Literacy Tutor Training

We are looking for new tutors to join our Adult Literacy program! This is an opportunity to make a difference in the community, and JDL provides the training and materials to help support tutors and students every step of the way.

Call for Adult Literacy Tutors Informational Meeting

The Jackson District Library is looking for adults to tutor other adults in the community in developing literacy skills.

Time Commitment:
This is a volunteer position with a 6 month – 1 year commitment of at least 1 hour a week. There are 30 spots available for tutors.

Training and Support:
Tutors will receive a 2 week training beginning November 4 as well as all supplies needed. JDL will be here to support you every step of the way!
Anyone interested in becoming a tutor is encouraged to register for an informational meeting held at the Carnegie Library on October 21, 4-5 PM
