Wilderness Survival for Teens
November 9 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EST
Learn the principles of survival when lost in the woods as taught in the Hunger Games books and movies.
Topics will include:
- Making shelters
- How to sleep in the woods
- Starting a fire
- Finding food and safe drinking water
- Survival kits and tools
There will be hands-on activities and survival gear for you to take home after the class. Some of the class will be outdoors and you should bring paper and pen/pencils to take notes.
Reading the first book before the event is a bonus, but not required. Come ready to learn and bring your questions about how to survive a night in the woods.
Intended for teens ages 12-17. Call the Brooklyn Branch at 517-905-1369 to register.
This program will be led by wilderness survival instructor Rodney Cole.
