Water is Life with the Jackson Sierra Club

September 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm EDT

Free

LESS=MORE – three short Sierra Club films presented by the Greater Jackson Area Sierra Club. Elaine Wolf, Sierra Club chair, will announce and moderate.

Water is life. Clean water is the life of everyone. Michiganders strongly value protection of the Great Lakes from pollution, and the way we grow our food impacts the quality of our water. At the same time, everyone has the right to safe, healthy food. Access to healthy food and local food production that is resilient and non-polluting is essential for sustainability and a sound economic future. “Less support for polluting factory farming means a more sustainable Michigan.”

Following the screening, a discussion panel will be available to offer insights on local farming practices. We will also sample savory and sweet tarts made by a Michigan chef from local, sustainably-grown ingredients.

Free and open to the public.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for mingling and refreshments.
