Let’s Talk About: A Storytime for Tough Topics

November 16 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

Why can’t anyone say my name? Why is my friend’s skin darker than mine? Why are people standing in line for food?

Kids ask tough questions.
With all they see and hear in the media, as parents and caregivers, we often don’t have all the answers.
Beginning this fall, children ages 5-9 with parents and caregivers are invited to a Storytime for Tough Topics. Community experts will help foster and guide conversations on topics such as stereotypes, race and poverty through children’s literature in a safe, age-appropriate environment.
