International Wheelchair Day

International Wheelchair Day was first launched on March 1, 2008. This annual event celebrates the positive impact wheelchairs have in their users lives as well as acknowledge that there are many people who are in need of wheelchairs that do not have access.
You can stop by a JDL branch for resources on local agencies and nonprofits that help with access to wheelchairs, as well as discovering stories and experiences of people who use wheelchairs in activities from sports to world travel.
