Free

The Carnegie Library is happy to announce a three-part basic/beginner computer series this Fall. Each class will take place on a Tuesday and Thursday in September, October, and November. Space is limited, so please call the Adult Services Department to register: (517) 788-4087. Anyone is welcome and you can sign up for any or all of the three classes.

Classes 1 and 2 (Sep. 4 and 6) – Computer Basics – How does this thing work? Come down to Carnegie Library and learn all the basics about computers, from what the components are and how they work, to basic programs such as Word. If you would like to understand your computer more fully, then the September classes are for you.

Classes 3 and 4 (Oct. 2 and 4) – Internet Basics – What is the internet? How does it work? What is a browser? How do I set up email? We will be answering all of these questions and more during the Internet Basics classes.

Classes 5 and 6 (Nov. 6 and 8) – Social Media – Learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This class will include signing up for these platforms, sharing pictures and posts, and finding friends and family. You will need a valid email address beforehand.

Registration is required. Please contact the Adult Services Department at (517) 788-4087 or adultservices@myjdl.com if interested.
